The Man in The High Castle; Improbable Scenario

The Man in the High Castle was interesting to observe, seeing how the Nazis and Japanese interacted with one another was quite insightful. The main part of the story however that I doubt would have ever existed would be the idea of the neutral zone. The Nazis were fighting a war to have total control, not to leave a possible safe haven for others to create a possible rebellion. In 20th-century international relations – The rise of Hitler and fall of Versailles | Britannica, it is apparent that the Nazis wanted to gather a more dominant control and wanted to have their ideals and view spread. They did everything they could to prevent any possible rebellions by removing the idea of a safe space from their possible enemies. It was this methodology that kept the Nazis strong internally for so long, the lack of possible areas to do things freely and without punishment made it easier for them to push their ideas on the people and end up forcing them to follow the Nazi view. These methods would not change just because they occupied new territory, so that is why the idea of a neutral zone would be fairly improbable for a world like this.
